Sometimes it can be a bit of a quagmire collecting DVDs and Blu-Rays with the multitude of small companies that are out there. This list includes third-party suppliers, film-makers who self release as well as those film companies themselves.

	Another World Entertainment Another World Entertainment (also known as simply AWE) is a Danish home video distribution company. Another World Entertainment was established in January 2006 and has been a leading distributor of a number of titles on DVD and more recently, Blu-ray Disc. Horror films are the company's most released genre, having released several cannibal, zombie and vampire films. However, other genres do include drama, comedy, sci-fi, thriller, action and western.

	Code Red DVD Bill Olsen's DVD releasing company. It would have been nice if they had a little info on their site but they release all sorts of nice goodies that are hard to source elsewhere.
	Dark Sky Films Dark Sky Films is an independent film production and distribution label founded in 2008, working with emerging talent as well as established veterans to develop, package, produce and finance feature films and episodic television projects. 	Grindhouse Releasing Grindhouse Releasing is a Hollywood-based distribution company dedicated to the restoration and preservation of classic exploitation films. Founded in 1996 by Bob Murawski and Sage Stallone, Grindhouse has produced spectacular deluxe editions of Lucio Fulci's "THE BEYOND", Ruggero Deodato's "CANNIBAL HOLOCAUST", Umberto Lenzi's "CANNIBAL FEROX", David Durston's 1970 drive-in classic "I DRINK YOUR BLOOD", and Juan Piquer Simón's outrageous chainsaw epic "PIECES".

	Something Weird Video Something Weird Video is an American film distributor company based in Seattle, Washington. They specialize in exploitation films, particularly the works of Harry Novak, Doris Wishman, David F. Friedman and Herschell Gordon Lewis. The company is named after Lewis' 1967 film Something Weird, and the logo is taken from that film's original poster art. Something Weird usually focus on B to Z movies. Something Weird has distributed well over 2,500 films to date.

	Synapse Films Synapse Films is an American DVD/Blu-ray label owned and operated by Don May, Jr. and his business partners Jerry Chandler and Charles Fiedler. The company was started in 1997 and it specializes in cult horror, science fiction, and exploitation films. Synapse's focus has been to provide quality restoration and video transfers to genre films usually neglected or granted shoddy release on home video. May has brought to the company an expertise in video mastering and film restoration gleaned from nearly a decade of experience in the LaserDisc industry, and personal enthusiasm for exploitation film of all stripe.
